More about the course

We have now started enrolling students onto our A-level Russian Prep Course in 2021/22. The course is starting on 18th September 2021 (Saturday) and will run right through to the exam window in May 2022. The course is suitable for young people and adults who are preparing to be graded for A level exam in Summer 2022 or 2023.

Our A level Prep Course consists of  approximately:

  • 50 guided hours of tuition
  • 60 hours of Workshops
  • 60 hours of independent learning

Places are limited, please book today to avoid going on a waiting list.

See the course time-table and detailed course description below.

* What is a FREE Workshop? It's an additional two our sessions that are NOT lessons. Although the teacher is present in the Zoom room, students are encouraged to work together as a group. They can complete their homework or do additional tasks provided by the tutor.

Such workshops are optional, but advisory as they're a great opportunity to work in a relaxed, friendly environment, as well as adding up to 2 to 3 hours of additional practice a week!

If you’re over 18 and would like to sit your GCSE Russian as a private candidate, please, speak to us, we can help you.

Course Material

We use many resources in our lessons - our own course materials, past papers and, of course literary texts. We mix and match them to make sure you get the right amount and exactly right content each lesson. You won’t get any unnecessary materials – only what you need to pass the exam with flying colours.

If you’re not yet ready to take A level Russian in 2021, please consider doing our other courses, eg. “Russian for Beginners” or “General Russian”. For more information visit Russian Courses page.

You can find more interesting information like literature list, film list, recommended newspapers on our Blog page

For selfstudy or to share your experience, concerns and interests, please join our Facebook page “GCSE Russian Study Group”.

** One Block consists of ten lessons, plus FREE weekly workshops.
