You can sit GCSE and A-level Russian as a private candidate in our Partner’s centres. This means you can be of any age to sit the exam. You will receive the top class service, help and advice. We operate in one of the following locations: Macclesfield, Bolton, Coventry or Wimbledon, and this year, of course, via Zoom.
Step 1 – Application Form
Contact us to request an application form for the exam. The form is straightforward – we just need to know your personal details, what location you prefer to sit your exam at, what exam you want to do – GCSE or A Level, and, finally, your tier (for GCSE only). Send us the form back no later than February of the year of the exam.
Step 2 – Fees paid
Once we receive your application, we’ll send you an invoice with the amount to be paid. You can pay electronically using Bank Transfer.
Step 3 – Exams
You arrive at the exam centre for your exams. The days and times will be clearly listed on your timetable. Any “clashes” will be resolved at the centre.
Step 4
After the completion of the exam season, you will receive your exam results through post (or can be arranged electronically). The results are issued by Pearson Edexcel.
Step 5 – Certificate
We will let you know when certificates have arrived at the centre. We check them and send them to you by Royal Mail 1st class.
Tutors and Exams provides examination and assessment facilities primarily aimed at private and home educated candidates. The company was established six years ago by husband and wife, Jenny & Chris Spraggett, both of whom have a wealth of experience working in the examination/education sector. In those intervening six years Tutors and Exams has evolved into a much valued and respected examination venue.
Tutors and Exams currently have four examination centres located around the country: Bolton, Coventry, Wimbledon and Doncaster. We anticipate opening our fifth centre, located in Cambridgeshire, this Autumn in readiness for January 2021 and Summer 2021 exam series. All are approved for examination delivery by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ).
In 2019/22 Tutors and Exams delivered examination assessment to over 2,400 learners. We cater for 95% of all GCSE/GCE and IGCSE subjects alongside Functional Skills and have a dedicated SEN specialist who can assist in organising access arrangements if required.

- Mock paper (marked) £86 per/paper
- Speaking assessment £92 per/candidate
- Consultation £40.00 per/hr, additional candidate at the same venue £20.00
- Letter with Predicted grades -£25.00
