More about the course

We are now enrolling students on our Russian Language Group Courses in 2020/21.

Our General Russian course consists of Three Terms – Autumn, Winter and Spring. We occasionaly run Summer courses as well. The course is designed for people who are not new to the Russian language and those wishing to brush up their rusty Russian learnt years before. It is also suitable for those who feel they are ready to move on from learning Russian from CD's and books to a classroom environment. Places are limited, please book today to avoid going on a waiting list.

On this course you will learn how to:

  • Use confidently 6 Russian cases

  • Use common Russian verbs inc Perfective and Imperfective

  • Agree and disagree in Russian

  • Write emails

  • Tell about your dreams and plans using future tense

  • Read and learn about famous Russian people

  • Debate controversial issues

  • Play communicative games

In our centre we want to make sure you have an opportunity to perfect your speaking skills outside the classroom. You will be able to continue practising your Russian on-line or at our regular meet ups of the Social Club. The tutor will provide all the necessary information. Your tutor will also discuss any of the materials used in class, and she will also advise on what Apps and websites to use for practising your Russian. You will also need an English-Russian dictionary; it can be a small pocket size or an electronic version. You may also wish to purchase an A4 file to store course handouts.

Certification

At the end of the Russian Language Course you will have an option to take a final internal exam and receive an Intermediate Certificate in Russian.

Course Material

You will be required to purchase course book “Tochka Ru” A2 either from us or from the publihser. If you order it from us, we’ll bring for you to the first lesson.
